This is just a little overview of what Common Sense was and what it meant to the American People.
This photograph is in Philadelphia noting Common Sense publication. Thomas Paine started writing what we now know as Common Sense in 1775 along with Benjamin Rush. Rush was an inaugural part of helping Paine write Common Sense. When Paine initially published Common Sense it was left anonymous because England was still under rule and the acts by Paine would be considered treason. None the less Paine believed greatly in what he was writing and was willing to risk his life on it. He thought his pamphlet would inform the American people on why they should rebel against British rule and evidently the American people responded with winning the American Revolution.
